Marilou McKean specializes in business and legal affairs, with an emphasis on
the negotiation of
agreements for writers, directors, producers and performers.
Her expertise extends to production legal services, rights
acquisition agreements and production services matters.
Marilou previously was employed by Warner Bros. Television,
last serving as Vice President of Business Affairs where she
was responsible for the negotiation of actor, director,
writer-producer and production services agreements for the
studio on projects such as Two and a Half Men. Prior to
joining the business affairs group, Marilou served as
Director of Legal Affairs, handling day-to-day production
legal matters for a variety of primetime and non-scripted
programming, including The West Wing and “Whose Line Is It
Anyway?
Before her tenure at Warner Bros. Television, Marilou was
Director of Business Affairs for Big Ticket Television,
where she was responsible for a wide range of primetime
television and syndicated programming contract matters.
Marilou joined Big Ticket Television after working as a
Senior Project Manager for the D. Garvey Corporation, where
she managed the site acquisition, land use permitting and
construction processes for new wireless telecommunications
networks, and where she specialized in the resolution of
real property and land use disputes, as well as advising
clients on federal and state regulatory compliance issues. |

Marilou is a graduate of Seattle University School of Law,
from which she graduated with Honor and achieved the Am Jur
award in Corporations. She received her undergraduate
bachelor of arts degree from the University of Washington,
with a major in comparative history of ideas. She has been
admitted to practice in California (active) and Utah (inactive). |
